Select Board approves FY2023 tax rate and $35,400 in supplemental spending.

Alford Select Board establishes FY2023 tax rate, approves three supplemental appropriations totaling $35,400. Chair Charles Ketchen moved approval of $10,400 for highway CDL training, $10,000 for Veteran's Benefits, and $15,000 for the 8 Town Regional School District Planning Board; Peter Puciloski seconded, and the board voted unanimously. The board also unanimously granted Rural Recovery Resources permission to display "Smash the Stigma" awareness signs through September 30 and authorized a letter to residents dumping yard waste on roadsides.

Town Clerk Peggy Rae Henden-Wilson reported 109 votes cast in the recent primary, approximately 30 percent of registered voters.
