Select Board approves delayed school-district assessment, joins animal-control program.

ALFORD — Select Board backs delayed school budget. The board unanimously agreed to allow the regional School Committee until the end of May to complete a FY2027 budget, with a June Special Town Meeting set for adoption of the assessment. The board also voted unanimously to join the Regional Animal Control Officer program at a cost of $10,981.28 and allocated $40,000 to Stabilization on the warrant.

The board approved Planning Board zoning bylaw changes for a public hearing.
