ALFORD — Select Board meets on water quality, highway paving, vaccine clinic. Board of Health Coordinator Jayne Smith reported water testing for Alford Brook and Green River within normal limits except at a beaver dam site on Wilson Road; the Health Collaborative plans a flu vaccine and COVID booster clinic October 11 from 10 a.m. to noon. Highway Superintendent TJ Horrigan said Massachusetts Department of Transportation will handle paving and drainage on Route 71, with the town covering approximately 425 feet of guardrail.
George Meyer's special permit to live in a camper, issued in August 2020, will be renewed once his energy audit clears and his fee is paid.
