Select Board accepts state salt bid at $74.29 per ton

ALFORD — Select Board unanimously approves state salt bid at $74.29 per ton over county alternative. Board member Peggy Rae Henden-Wilson moved to accept the lower state price; Peter Puciloski seconded. Highway Superintendent TJ Horrigan and a staff member will attend salt calibration training October 25.

In related action, the board unanimously approved keeping Town Offices open by appointment only through October 16 due to rising COVID infections in Berkshire County. The Alford Historic District Commission received approval to light holiday displays from December 3, 2023 to March 1, 2023.
