Alford Select Board unanimously approves National Grid pole petition on Green River Road. The 51-foot-6-inch pole will reduce the span between existing poles 51 and 52, with fiber-optic attachments positioned roadside per Alford Link Commission request. In a second unanimous vote, the board accepted an Intermunicipal Agreement with Egremont for elderly transportation services with no cost increase for fiscal year 2027.
Highway Superintendent Casey Searing reported Chapter 90 funds and highway appropriations totaling $503,581.26 and confirmed MassDOT approval to use Chapter 90 funding for a radio repeater project.
