Select Board approves Conservation Commission staffing and power supplier research

Select Board · Meeting of May 22, 2023

Alford Select Board authorizes power supplier research and Conservation Commission staffing resources. The board authorized resident Tim Ortwein to research Colony Power Group as an alternative to National Grid, a supplier used by surrounding communities. The Conservation Commission introduced Shannon Poulin as its new administrator, responsible for posting meetings, newspaper advertising, state permitting, and serving as the Commission's point contact.

The board approved all requests for administrative support including office space, computer access, email, and authorization to recruit new members. Two proposals for handicap access to town offices both exceeded the $20,000 approved at Town Meeting.
