Alford boards approve Annual Town Meeting warrant with clarifications pending. The joint Select Board, Finance Committee, and Alford Link meeting unanimously approved the Annual Town Meeting warrant draft on April 10, pending adjustments to Article 11 on the West Road Bridge project and Finance Committee review of the Town Clerk's salary increase request scheduled for April 14. The boards approved a $25,000 transfer from Alford Link Retained Earnings to the stabilization fund and confirmed a 5 percent salary increase for town employees.
In related business, the Alford Fire Department declined interest in pursuing shared services consolidation with Egremont and Mount Washington.
