Select Board Backs ADA Accessibility Project for Town Buildings

Select Board · Meeting of March 27, 2023

Alford Select Board approves ADA accessibility improvements and unanimously backs infrastructure projects. The board unanimously approved a $3,900 contract with All American Fence for East Road Cemetery repairs and a National Grid/Verizon pole petition for Green River Road infrastructure upgrades. Board member Peter Puciloski moved both items, seconded by board member Peggy Rae Henden-Wilson.

The board directed the Accessibility and Housing Commission to proceed with Phase 1 design services for an ADA-compliant entrance to the Town Offices and expanded Phase 2 to include full renovation planning for 9 Alford Center Road. A warrant article will be presented at the annual town meeting seeking design and survey funding for the Town Offices project.
