Alford Select Board approves machinery transfer, appoints Hall to commission

Alford Select Board approves transfer, commits to decade-long broadband agreement. The Board unanimously transferred $3,000 from the Highway Department to Machinery Maintenance for a backhoe repair, and appointed Jim Hall to the Affordable Housing Commission. Puciloski reported that Alford Link has signed a 10-year contract with Whip City Fiber at $26 per subscriber with no rate increases through renewal.

The Board received updates on opioid settlement funds and a scheduled March 17 meeting with state health officials.
