Alford Select Board votes to raise inspection fees. The board unanimously approved a motion by Peter Puciloski to increase electrical, plumbing, gas, and fire inspection fees from $60 to $75 per inspection, seconded by Peggy Rae Henden-Wilson. The board also advanced a $57,000 foundation and structural assessment at 9 Alford Road, approved paving contracts with LB Corp., and authorized tree-cutting work at $1,991 per day through Haupt Tree Company.
Highway Department chief Monty Green announced his retirement effective October 29, 2021, ending 32 years of service.
