ALFORD — Select Board tabled three agenda items to January 10 pending committee review. Chair Charles Ketchen proposed acquiring fireproof storage for town records with possible digitization. The board deferred action on an EDM estimate exceeding $600,000, a proposal from the Town of Egremont for senior transportation participation, and Fire Chief Steve Berkel's request to use American Rescue Plan Act funds for firefighter COVID training compensation.
Town Accountant Lauren Sartori-Hobgood recommended the ARPA funding for firefighter pay.
