Select Board authorizes $2M borrowing for Prop 2½ article

Alford board unanimously votes $2M Prop 2½ borrowing authorization. The Select Board approved $2 million in borrowing to be submitted to the annual town meeting. In the same meeting, the board created a Capital Projects Committee with representatives from the Select Board, Finance Committee, Planning Board, and Department of Public Works, and adopted a $30,000 asset depreciation threshold recommended by town auditors Scanlon and Associates.

The borrowing authorization advances to voters at the annual town meeting.
