Select Board approves three ARPA spending motions, rapid test purchase.

ALFORD — Select Board unanimously approves three ARPA spending proposals totaling more than $10,000. Chair Charles Ketchen and members voted to allocate $9,496 toward a Southern Berkshire Ambulance purchase pending other towns' contributions, to fund Fire Department retention incentives at 25 percent of FY2021 annual stipends, and to provide $750 vaccination incentives for unvaccinated employees. The board also unanimously approved purchasing up to 500 rapid Covid-19 test kits using ARPA funds and designated Board of Health Agent Jayne Smith a "Special Town Employee" ahead of her work with the Tri-Town Health Department.
