Alford Select Board approves energy plan with Colonial Power, authorizes tree removal. The board unanimously accepted the Municipal Aggregation Plan, clearing the way for a public hearing on the energy proposal. Members also voted unanimously to remove two trees at Town Hall: a Norway Maple that damaged the roof and a dying Sugar Maple.
The board approved a utility pole petition for National Grid on North Egremont Road. Board of Health Officer Jayne Smith reported the September flu clinic drew 30 residents, with COVID cases rising.
