The board approved resident Lee Gallagher on motion by member Peggy Rae Henden-Wilson and seconded by member Peter Puciloski. The board also discussed a significant library service cost increase from Great Barrington, with the annual assessment rising from $1,900 to $10,000 for fiscal year 2024, and noted that West Stockbridge Public Library offers Alford residents free access as an alternative.
