Select Board approves needle exchange program for Alford.

ALFORD — Select Board unanimously approves syringe exchange program. The board authorized a qualified organization to operate a mobile needle exchange program in Alford under Massachusetts law, with the service fully funded by the state Department of Public Health. Board member Jayne Smith will serve as liaison.

The board also received a draft Stream Crossing Management Plan from the Housatonic Valley Association and agreed to post it publicly for review and potential adoption to guide repairs and replacements of stream crossings.
