ALFORD — Select Board approves cemetery plot transfer to Weintraub. The board unanimously voted to allow resident Marty Levine to return two plots in the Osborne Cemetery for purchase by Jay Weintraub at the current per-plot rate, subject to by-law review. Board of Health Officer Jayne Smith reported one confirmed COVID case in Alford and disclosed she has applied for a position with the South County Public Health Collaborative while continuing to seek grants for the town.
South Egremont School will close the week of Thanksgiving due to a confirmed case at that facility.
