Alford Select Board approves highway training contract and inspectors in unanimous votes. The board reappointed Ruth Seidler and Ellen Bairstow to the Historic District Commission for one-year terms, approved a CDL training contract for highway staff, and named Karl Cooper electrical inspector and Ted Piontek assistant electrical inspector, all unanimously. Board of Health Officer Jayne Smith reported Berkshire County remains in "Green" status; water samples from Green River and Alford Brook tested within state standards.
The board voted to require the Fire Department to notify the Select Board of future fireworks permits after residents requested advance notice.
