Select Board approves building improvements as state funds Green Road paving

Alford Select Board approves $5,800 in building improvements and $18,000 digital history project. The board voted unanimously on both expenditures, authorizing Comalli Electric to retrofit fixtures in the Town Offices building for $4,200 and remediate deficiencies across town facilities for $1,600, and approving a donation-funded digital history initiative. Chair Bruce Schreiber reported on a regional lockdown protocol discussion involving all five towns in the regional school district following an incident at Mount Everett, with agreement to request staff training before fall.
The town has also received $254,311 in state aid for Green River Road paving.
