ALFORD — Select Board approves ADU with three-car garage at 274 East Road. Member Peter Puciloski moved to approve the special permit for the accessory structure, greater than 20 feet and containing 600 feet of gross floor area; Chair Bruce Schreiber seconded, and the board voted unanimously. The septic system is designed for five bedrooms and has been approved.
The Planning Board is awaiting Select Board approval before issuing its own. The board also declined to move forward with a $10,000 cardboard compactor grant due to lack of matching funds; the project is estimated to cost between $75,000 and $100,000.
