Alford Select Board raises town clerk salary to $14,000 for FY2024 amid state mandate changes. Finance Committee recommended the increase beyond the standard five percent raise, citing expanded state requirements; Joan Rogers presented wage comparisons with similar towns. The board also unanimously increased Article 10 ADA accessibility funding from $9,500 to $20,000.
Jim Hall reported completing an architect site visit and revising the request for proposal. Peggy Rae Henden-Wilson recused herself from the salary vote as the sitting town clerk.
