ALFORD — Select Board approves $10,000 in combined fee increases for inspectors and waste haulers. Members voted unanimously to raise building inspector fees from $75 to $125 per inspection and to charge all garbage haulers a $125 permit fee. Chair Bruce Schreiber proposed spending approximately $50,000 from free cash to remove dead ash trees town-wide, subject to approval at a Special Town Meeting.
The Board received a heating and cooling quote of $10,000 for town offices and noted that Chapter 90 road work bids are due by August 4.
