Select Board appoints permanent Highway Superintendent

Alford Select Board names permanent Highway Superintendent. Casey Searing was unanimously appointed as the permanent Highway Superintendent, with Matthew Ketchen named to the third man position. The board also scheduled a special permit hearing for an accessory structure greater than 600 square feet for November 24 at 6 p.m., with the application including an accessory dwelling unit over garage space requiring Planning Board notification.
A property classification hearing was continued to November 3, pending Department of Revenue approval of assessed property values.
