Alford Select Board addresses 36-percent ambulance cost increase. Public Health Officer Jayne Smith reported that Southern Berkshire Ambulance charges jumped 36 percent across all district service towns. Board member Peggy Rae Henden-Wilson requested presentations from SBA and comparable cost and response-time data from Lee and Richmond ambulance services for January consideration.
Board members also discussed scheduling an executive session regarding School Committee matters.
