Planning Board sets regular meeting schedule, charts bylaw roadmap

Planning Board · Meeting of March 10, 2021

Alford Planning Board adopts regular meeting schedule, begins bylaw overhaul. The board voted to meet at 6 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month and tasked Town Counsel Joel Bard with reviewing guidelines for short-term rentals and other communities' bylaws. Bard cautioned that a comprehensive rewrite of the town's short-term rental and telecommunications bylaws would be a costly undertaking, promising to provide a cost estimate to the Selectboard.

The board prioritized refining the existing zoning bylaw version first, with Bard indicating revisions would not be available before the May 12 meeting.
