Planning Board grants special permit for Batten driveway

ALFORD — Planning Board grants special permit for driveway at Batten property on White's Hill Road. Engineer Brent White presented revised plans for a 540-foot driveway at 56 White's Hill Road with increased width at two points to accommodate emergency vehicle turnarounds as specified by Fire Chief Steve Berkel. The plans, dated April 19, 2023, and signed off by the Fire Chief, include drainage and runoff provisions.
The special permit was granted with three conditions: no changes to the approved plan, adoption of conditions in the Fire Chief's letter, and submission of a signed Conservation Committee letter to the record.
