Alford Planning Board continued a special permit hearing for a West Road development project after an abutter raised concerns about potential well damage from blasting. Architect Dana Bixby withdrew the driveway special permit application, stating the grade does not exceed six percent, and proposed two turnouts to satisfy fire department requirements. The board scheduled a July 12 site visit with Bixby and the Fire Chief before the regular meeting.
Board member Otis Lougheed raised enforcement issues when finished construction deviates from approved site plans, prompting member Larry Gadd to propose a separate meeting on enforcement procedures.
