Planning Board approves solar array with evergreen screening requirement.

Alford Planning Board grants site plan approval for solar installation. The board unanimously approved a 1,332-square-foot, 12-foot-tall solar array on the Paskin property at 290 East Road, dated February 8, 2024, with a condition requiring naturalized evergreen plantings to screen the western side of the installation from the public way. The array sits roughly 30 feet above road level and will likely be visible in winter but not summer.
