Board establishes uniform tax rate for FY 2024

Alford Select Board sets uniform tax rate after valuing town land at $354 million. Board member Peter Puciloski moved the motion to establish the FY 2024 uniform rate, and it passed unanimously. The board simultaneously approved three municipal appointments: Carol Saginaw to the Alford Historic District Commission, Sandra Josel to the Local Cultural Council, and TJ Horrigan as ADA Coordinator.
A special permit hearing for an accessory structure at 130 Green River Road was continued to October 16 after an abutter raised concerns about the structure's height and design.
