Alford Select Board approves West Road bridge closure

Alford Select Board agrees to close West Road for bridge replacement project. The board unanimously agreed to close West Road to accelerate a bridge replacement by J.L. Raymaaker Construction, reducing the project timeline by approximately 384 days.
The approved detour route adds approximately 10 miles via East Road. The board also reorganized, electing Charles Ketchen as Chair on member Peter Puciloski's nomination, and unanimously approved a Special Permit for a 38-by-42-foot custom woodworking shop at 140 Green River Road.
