Alford Select Board approves textile recycling program and Rogers Trucking contract increase. The board unanimously authorized CMRK to place textile recycling containers at town facilities, with the company paying Alford 7 cents per pound of recycled material, and accepted a 28 percent price increase from Rogers Trucking to cover fuel escalation. Chair Charles Ketchen was elected, Peggy Rae Henden-Wilson was appointed Town Clerk effective July 1, and Roxanne Germain was appointed Treasurer and Tax Collector.
The board approved Highway Department proposals for a revised driveway permit policy holding contractors liable for road damage and referred a proposal for town-funded operator training to Town Counsel.
