Alford Select Board unanimously approves special permit for 30 North Egremont Road. Chair Charles Ketchen and member Bruce Schreiber voted to allow an accessory structure exceeding 600 square feet and 20 feet in height with no conditions after landowner Robert Rominger clarified he had no plans for an accessory dwelling unit. The Board heard updates on the EMS task force's evaluation of two regional service models and learned the Highway Department has already spent two-thirds of its salt budget with the season ongoing, having purchased 379 tons compared to 368 tons at the same time last year.
